DC Comics announced it's full solicitations for June last night and, with it, a glimpse at the previously-showcased series of Jonah Hex mini-busts, including Josh Brolin as the titular scarred cowboy and Megan Fox as "working girl" Leila. Check out the description below, but be prepared for a potential spoiler:

JONAH HEX (MOVIE): LEILA HEX BUST

SCULPTED BY JEAN ST. JEAN

This hand-painted, cold-cast porcelain bust depicts working girl Leila as she appears in the upcoming movie, posed atop a crate of dynamite.

Packaged in a 4-color box, the Leila Bust measures approximately 5.75” high x 2.75” wide x 2.25” deep.

LIMITED EDITION OF 1000 PIECES!

*Quantities may be allocated.

On sale June 16, 2010

Bust * $80 U

Did you catch it? Up until now, Fox's character has only been referred to by her first name. Calling her "Leila Hex" leads to three distinct possibilities: she could be a blood relation and a twist could reveal that she is, in fact, Jonah's sister (which would make the nude bed scene Warner Bros. showcased at ComicCon last year more than a little disturbing). She could be Jonah's wife, who may have left Hex for dead and moved on to a lucrative prostitution gig. Or, it could all be a mistake on DC's part and the word "Hex" just popped up in the wrong place.

Whatever the case may be, we should know for sure when Jonah Hex hits theaters on June 18th.

Did ya catch that? LEILA HEX?!?!?!
Yes, I am screaming on the inside & the outside.

  1. I have face-palmed myself over this film so many times I have a headache and possible permanent brain damage.

  2. What the hell? I'm rather surprised that there hasn't been much in the way of buzz really. And I do hope that the "Hex" is a typo or something.

I'm leaning towards the typo/verbal shorthand explanation. The lack of a trailer is what concerns me.

  4. They got lots of coverage from the photographs of Megan Fox's lack of coverage so maybe they think that's all they need to do? Hard to understand their thinking at this stage...

  5. I'm betting that they mean "Leila: Hex Bust".

If you think that's bad, her name was mentioned for the first time in the latest issue of Jonah Hex when he gets asked "I thought you were involved with that Leila girl?"

I hate when comics attempt to canonize aspects of their film adaptations (like making Blade half vampire in the comics after the film when he hadn't been half human since his debut in 1973).
