DC Showcase - Jonah Hex
As most of you know, there is a animated short of Jonah Hex in front of the new Under the Red Hood DVD. Of course it's now on Youtube, so enjoy it & let me know what you think.
I liked it. Only bump for me was the "Got me a little paper route" line. Amusing, but I don't think it'd be accurate for the period. Then again, Lansdale's Hex work doesn't always worry about historical accuracy.
Too Japanese. Also, shoulda shot the guy with the axe. Also also- no such thing as a pump, double-barrel shotgun. Still, it was cool to see.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was pretty racy, myself. What startled me the most was the guy motor-boating the one saloon-girl's chest.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that too. I know it wasn't a kid's cartoon, but I thought for a minute my wife would think I was watching a porn cartoon.
ReplyDeleteManga-Hex.
ReplyDeleteYet, still more fun than the movie, even in spite of Joe Landsdale's involvement.

ReplyDeletePretty awesome, really.
ReplyDeleteWish I could visit that comic book store in the opening credits!
