These three quick interviews at Comic Con with About.com are pretty good.
First is Josh Brolin: He makes mention of the 3 incarnations of Jonah Hex with one looking like "a 70's porn star", no doubt a reference to the futuristic Hex book.
Next is Michael Fassbender: Interviewer Rebecca Murray asks if he drew any inspiration from the books. He doesn't (probably since his character, Burke, doesn't appear in any books) but makes mention of a bowler. The most prominant bowler wearer was Ned Landon.
Finally is Jimmy Hayward & Megan Fox: Hayward is revealing himself as a fan of the book and this bodes well for the movie. Megan? Well, I've never seen a film with her in it and every interview she is saying the same thing over & over & over & over again. Here, I'm not so impressed.

A lot of actors really hate wearing prosthetic makeup and the tracking/capturing equipment required for CGI "makeup" -- so it's really no surprise Brolin was on the fence about the movie for a while. Still, the more I hear, the more I'm getting excited about this movie!
From what I have been told, Brolin couldn't eat, drink (even through a straw), or even smoke with the makeup on. He did eventually learn to not drool on himself during filming.
If we're lucky this could be Megan's "look, I can actually act" role.
I can't say that I've ever seen anything with Megan Fox in it, but so far, I'm not particularly impressed.
The not-drooling-on-himself thing is nice. I've always rather wondered how Jonah keeps from doing that himself.
